Trade Adjustment Assistance for Firms (TAAC)
Objective
In April 2001, TAAC approached AccuVis to create a web site design
for the main, national TAAC web site, encouraging site visitors
to go to the specific regional network of twelve non-profit Trade
Adjustment Assistance Centers.
TAAC is a federal program, sponsored by the U.S. Department of
Commerce, which provides financial assistance to manufacturers affected
by import competition. Accuvis was hired to create a more user-friendly
web site design to increase traffic to the TAAC web site and refer
qualified applicants to their regional web sites.
Solutions
-
Created search engine friendly web site design templates for
the site design so that the search engines could easily access
all of the content on the pages.
-
Converted all relevant printed materials into a format more
suited to web viewing. Graphic images, including their new logo,
were formatted for the web, and text was rewritten for better
search engine visibility.
-
Designed web site to encourage target audience to contact the
relevant regional office.
Results
The TAAC industrial web site design resulted in:
- Nearly 100 top search engine positions since launching the new
web site design.
- Over 380% increase in traffic since launching the new site design.
