Industrial web site design case studies
Koch Group, Inc.
Objective
In October 1998, Koch Group, Inc., an Illinois firm that provides
industrial marketing solutions for manufacturers, approached AccuVis
to design their first web site. The goal for the initial site design
was to provide qualified sales leads and sales online.
Koch Group's first web site design was formatted for maximum search
engine visibility and ease-of-use for their target audience which
includes manufacturers, molders, casters, stampers, and fabricators.
The subsequent site redesign, modified to accommodate more advanced
web browsers, was launched in January 2001.
Solutions
-
Created search engine friendly web site design templates for
the initial site design so that the search engines could easily
access all of the content on the pages.
-
Converted all relevant printed materials into a format more
suited to web viewing. Graphic images were formatted for the
web, and text was rewritten for better search engine visibility.
- Initial web site design reformatted to accommodate a wider variety
of web browsers.
Results
The Koch Group industrial web site design resulted in:
- Over 100 top search engine positions within 3 months of designing
the first web site.
- Over 166% increase in traffic within 6 months of launching the
updated site design.
- Maintains over 100 top search engine positions for targeted
keywords since launch of first web site.
